What is the main goal of mother earth?

Our goal is for people who visit our store or website to understand that mother earth is more than a vegan/vegetarian restaurant. For starters, please bear in mind that we are aware of the importance of a healthy environment and animal welfare. The rest, we will communicate with you in time.

I am neither vegan nor vegetarian, what options are available for me?

It is not necessary to be either vegan or vegetarian to visit our restaurant. Have a look at our online menu prior to your visit and we will further advise you up close.

Yes, every day we select our products mainly from local suppliers.

Of course! That is what mother earth promotes.

What are some of the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle?

Vegetarianism and Veganism - and how we at mother earth view and want to project this lifestyle - contribute to the reduction of exploitation of and violence towards farm animals. Another crucial benefit correlates to our planet. Think about this: if one person turns vegan, they automatically contribute to the act of making the world a better place.

What is some good advice for someone who is not vegan but would like to become?

A lot of people believe that the journey towards veganism is difficult and they have not found the best way to begin. A change in one's is something very personal and may have a lot of stages. Some individuals find it easier to switch to a plant-based diet while others go through various stages, such as: cutting our red meat, then poultry, then fish, and in the end, dairy, eggs, and honey. If you start seeking out more and more vegan recipes, it will result in a decrease in animal products in your diet. Other than nutrition, you may also focus on two other matters: firstly, educate yourself about the violent exploitation of animals, and secondly, understand that not including animal products in your diet does not mean it is unhealthy in any way.

The menu has been created wholly by the Vegan Chef, Dimitra Magklara. Her love for plant-based recipes is evident here, at mother earth restaurant in Mykonos Chora (Town).
